The way the college President is convinced by the surviving members to keep the program going, the way he convinces the football board to allow Marshal to play freshmen, the way the new coach handles his broken team and staff and how they bounce back makes for fine viewing. Mathew McConaughey as the new Coach Jack Lengyel is full of energy and interesting to watch.
